The occupational therapy practitioner’s role in mental health may be seen in many settings. Mental health centers, schools, senior centers, homeless and women’s shelters, and homes are a few of the possible places in which occupational therapy may be offered. Providing support with leisure, vocational, homemaking, hygiene, and medication management are potential treatment goals for practitioners working in these places (Castaneda & Radley, 2013).
